Boitumelo Motsoeneng

PhD Student

Boitumelo holds a Master of Science with distinction in Microbiology from Rhodes University, South Africa. She is currently in her 2nd year of PhD research in the Antibody Immunity Research Unit of the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) and at the University of the Witwatersrand. Her research focuses on characterizing antibody Fc-mediated functions induced by influenza vaccination, in the context of HIV infection. Understanding the contribution of these Fc functions to influenza immunity in HIV infected individuals may improve the vaccine design for high risk groups.
